The Passover Experience (2026)

Welcome to The Passover Experience page for Ner LeRagalai Jewish Ministries. My name is Daniel Goldstein and I am planning to once again host Messianic Passover Seders this spring in March of 2026 (specific dates listed below).

What is a Passover Seder?

The original Passover took place in about 1450 BC when God struck all the first born males in Egypt but passed over the homes of the Israelites as a result of the blood of the Passover lamb on their door posts. God then commanded that the children of Israel keep the Passover as a remembrance year by year to recall what happened on that day. The Hebrew word סדרseder simply means order or arrangement. Therefore, a Passover Seder is the order of service that remembers the first Passover and the Exodus from Egypt.

It was approximately 1500 years after the Exodus from Egypt that another significant event occurred on Passover: the Messiah was crucified as the Passover Lamb. Both the Old and New Testaments are essentially built upon the redemption events that occurred on the day of Passover. The Last Supper that our Messiah had with His disciples before he was betrayed was a Passover Seder meal. The Communion Service that believers partake of today takes elements from the Passover Seder as we remember the death and resurrection of the Messiah.

The Messiah has fulfilled the sacrifice of the Passover lamb; however, there are many details in the traditional Passover Seder that shed light on the events that happened 2000 years ago and continue to add meaning to our spiritual lives today. It is with this goal in mind that I seek to lead groups through a Messianic Passover Seder.

What does a Messianic Passover Seder look like?

A traditional Passover Seder includes the following:

  • Reading through a Passover Haggadah (book) which includes blessings, songs, Scriptures, and explanations for The Feasts of Passover & Unleavened Bread.

  • Remembering the first Passover by means of various activities.

  • An explanation of the Jewish traditions of Passover and how they connect to the Bible.

  • Tasting the various foods of Passover and understanding their biblical significance and meaning.

  • A full Passover meal including dessert.

  • Activities for all ages, including children, throughout the event.

In addition to the above list, the Messianic Passover Seder also uniquely includes:

  • A full integration of The Last Supper in The Passover Seder as we see it in the Bible.

  • An explanation of how the Jewish people are constantly looking for a Messianic fulfillment at Passover.

  • Participation in a Communion Service as found in the context of Passover and The Last Supper.

Duration for the Messianic Passover Seder: approximately 3 hours

Number of people per Passover Seder: Minimum – 10, Maximum 10,000 🙂
