The Appointed Times

The Appointed Times of the LORD are the original framework that God gave to the nation of Israel to remind them of who they are in light of who God is. The Appointed Times are multifaceted as they accomplish a variety of goals:

  1. Appointed Times provide weekly and yearly opportunities to set aside undistracted time to worship the living God.

  2. Appointed Times call to remembrance what God has done in the past.

  3. Appointed Times provide an invitation to humanity to give back to God for the abundance that the Creator God gives to us.

  4. Appointed Times point to the life of the Messiah.

  5. Appointed Times are prophetic indicators of what God has done, is doing, and will do in the future.

Pentecost Then & Now (The Feast of Weeks)

The Day of Pentecost is considered to be the official beginning of the New Testament movement that Yeshua commissioned after ascending to heaven. The pouring out of the Holy Spirit on that particular day enabled the first disciples of Yeshua to continue in His power and to make disciples of all nations. The day of Pentecost was not a new holiday on the Christian calendar, but rather, a long observed Appointed Time of the LORD which was established in the Torah (Leviticus 23).
